Behavior issues represent some of the top reasons that animals are surrendered to an animal shelter.

In an effort circumvent this from happening, the Lake Humane Society is dedicated to the education of responsible pet ownership and assists owners with behavior and training challenges before they become overwhelming.

We offer referral to local training organizations, in-house support for new pet owners and on-line articles that touch upon specific behavior issues as well as alternative motivational training techniques.
