Aluminum Can Recycling

Help the animals at your local shelter by recycling aluminum cans.

“Paws to Recycle” is an aluminum can recycling program sponsored by Friskies PetCare Company, the American Humane Association and Alcoa.

Just drop off your aluminum food and beverage cans at Lake Humane Society and we will have them recycled for cash value to help with our operating costs.  Recycling is an excellent way to eliminate expensive disposal costs, reduce the need for added landfill space and provide an efficient and effective way to re-use old packaging.

To test if your can is aluminum, simply take a small refrigerator magnet and see if it sticks to the can. If it doesn’t stick, the can is aluminum.

Did you know that recycling your paper could help homeless animals?

Paper RetrieverNot only does recycling help our environment, but Lake Humane Society earns money from all the paper we collect. The money we earn helps the homeless, injured and abandoned animals of Lake County.
