Humane Investigation

The Lake Humane Society works to end animal cruelty and neglect through education, investigation, and prosecution of offenders. Our humane agent is empowered to enforce State and local animal protection laws. Improper care of animals, including lack of proper food, water, shelter and veterinary treatment is against the law.

To report suspected neglect or cruelty, please call 440-951-6122, extension 107. Please provide an accurate street address, description of the animal(s) and a detailed description of the situation.

The Lake Humane Society provides Humane Investigation as a service to the Lake County community. This service is funded by the Lake Humane Society.
