"On April 24, 2014 we had the honor of bringing Pibb into our lives. He was very scared in the beginning because of his past, but slowly came out of his shell. We cannot thank you enough for pulling him from the Cleveland Animal Control before it was too late. Pibb has brought so much love and joy to our home and we cannot imagine life without him and love his goofiness! He is a fantastic boy who puts a smile on everyone's face. Thank you to all of the volunteers and staff who took care of our sweet boy in the several months he was with LHS. There are not enough words to describe our appreciation for what you do and what you have given our family. We hope this donation is able to give another pit bull the same opportunity Pibb was given so that they can enjoy life with a loving family"

"Three months ago we adopted Leo, our 14-year-old Rottweiler/Shepard mix. Our friends and family thought we were crazy, but quickly understood the second they met Leo. Even at 14 years old Leo has so much love to give and was instantly bonded to our family! He loves to cuddle in the morning and at night; curled up on the couch with us! Leo even looks like a puppy when his tennis ball is tossed around! He is so calm and well mannered, something only a 14-year-old dog could achieve! I love seeing his wagging tail in the morning when I wake up, in the evening when I get home from work, and during our daily walks! Just the other day I thought to myself "it feels like he had always been a part our family!" Due to his old age, he has taught me to enjoy every moment I have with him and to take advantage of opportunities I would have let pass otherwise!"
