Services & Programs

Lake Humane Society provides an On-Call Rescue Service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help stray animals in need of emergency medical treatment.   We make every attempt to reunite them with their owners or rehabilitate them in order to give them a second chance at life. Lake Humane Society provides the only animal rescue service of this kind in Lake County.

In 2010, Lake Humane Society went one step further with our On-Call Rescue Service.  We joined forces with Lake Metroparks' Penitentiary Glen in Kirtland to assist with afterhours emergencies regarding wild animals as well.

If you have found an injured stray domestic animal during regular business hours, contact LHS at 440-951-6122.  After regular business hours, contact your local police department and they will contact our on-call staff.
