Help us reach our $50,000 goal!
The Cruelty Prevention Project was launched to raise critical funds for Lake Humane Society’s Humane Investigations Department, including an efficient vehicle, additional equipment and training. Our full-time Humane Agent is on the road 5 days a week, regardless of the weather, protecting and advocating for pets in Lake County.
Our Humane Investigations Department has been getting by with the same vehicle, a large 2008 panel van, and equipment for over 13 years. It is necessary to purchase an efficient vehicle for day-to-day operations. Please give today to ensure our Humane Agent has the equipment and training to protect animals for years to come!
Countless animals owe their lives to supporters of our shelter. Supporters, like you. Your dedication to the Lake Humane Society helps us rescue abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted pets that have lost their way. Click below to learn the various ways you can contribute.
Although Lake Humane Society takes in thousands of animals every year, there are never enough warm cages and loving hands to care for all the animals in need. In addition to the stray animals and animals that are surrendered by their owner, very often we take in animals that require a little extra space, time, attention, and love.
Volunteers at Lake Humane Society are vital to the care and placement of the unwanted, injured, abandoned, and abused animals of Lake County. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to continue to care for, defend, protect, and find loving homes for the animals in need. We thank you for your interest in working alongside us in our lifesaving work as a volunteer. Our mission is not possible without you.
