Puppy classes will consist of socialization with people and other puppies using fun games and exercises. We will learn how to make veterinary visits less stressful with proper handling techniques. Puppies will learn basic manners including walking on a loose lead, sit, down, come, wait and stay. We will also address typical puppy problems like chewing, jumping and meeting new people. Basic care of puppies like clipping nails, brushing, examining of feet and legs, crate training, car riding and cleaning ears will also be taught.
Handouts will be given after each class. The first class we will properly fit collars, harnesses, and leads and do an overview of the course including cues, body language, and proper handling. Puppies must be current on all vaccines. Collars, harnesses, leads, and treats will be available for sale.
The cost for puppy classes is $75 and proceeds benefit the homeless pets in our care.
